Temporary Bulk Water Access
Little Thompson Water District allows fire hydrant rentals for contractors, construction crews or other approved users to temporarily access water from a hydrant for projects like dust control, roadwork or site development.
Fees and regulations apply, and users are responsible for following all guidelines to maintain water quality and system integrity.
Who Can Rent a Fire Hydrant Meter?
Fire hydrant rentals are available for:
- Contractors
- Construction crews
- Other approved users
How the Rental Process Works
Any individual or entity looking to purchase bulk water through a fire hydrant should call the District to arrange for a hydrant meter and backflow prevention device to be delivered to the site.
Users will also need to sign a Use of Fire Hydrant Agreement.
Required Equipment and Deposit
A deposit is required for the use of these items, and the deposit may be refunded after the hydrant, meter and backflow device have been inspected by a District representative.
